While we work with everyone to make sure they have time with their families, we also must make sure the corporate office is staffed.JOB OVERVIEWThe Human Resources Assistant reviews applicant onboarding documents for accuracy and completion, finalizes and approves onboarding paperwork, and assists with reporting, tracking, payroll matters, and other HR duties as assigned.RESPONSIBILITIESJob Duties include but are not limited to:Processing new hires and rehires for the company in our HR software. This process includes: SSN verificationE-VerificationI9 complianceTracking expiring employee records and assigning appropriate renewal checklists.Ensuring updated employee records including certifications renewal notifications.Assisting current and former employees with W-2 retrieval.Assisting employees with navigating the HRIS.Generating and managing reports using HR software or manual creation in excel.Completing Verification of Employment requests accurately and timely.Assisting with bi-weekly payroll processing as needed.Managing and creating HR documentation, forms, etc.Communicating with Management Team members at theatre locations across the circuit.All other duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Basic understanding of HR principles, including onboarding procedures and employment compliance (e.g., I-9 and E-Verify processes).Exposure to or functional knowledge of HRIS or similar database management software.Knowledge of the Microsoft suite including Outlook, TEAMS, and ExcelExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAdherence to all prescribed ethical guidelines, including confidentialityStrong sense of integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee data.Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary performanceAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.Must be able to work onsite full-time at the corporate office. This is not a remote position, and consideration will not be made for candidates who cannot maintain a consistent daily physical presence at the Liberty, MO facility.Ability to work Saturdays as needed, typically during peak hiring seasons.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Up to 1 year of direct experience or exposure to HR principles and functions is required.1 to 2 years of experience in an HR Assistant or administrative support role in a mid-size organization is strongly preferred.Prior working experience with HRIS or payroll processing software (such as Paycom) is highly valued.High School diploma or equivalent required.Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. College-level coursework in Business Administration, HR, or other relevant fields will be considered in lieu of a degree.HR Professional Certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, or aPHR) will be considered in lieu of a degree.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSPhysical requirements include but are not limited to: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
