Windows Engineer

Overview In this Server Engineer role, you will own hands-on management of Windows-based server infrastructure within a large, distributed enterprise. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and document system designs and runbooks to support operations. Your focus will include troubleshooting, performance analysis, and automation to improve reliability and efficiency. ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on server engineering for Windows-based infrastructureTroubleshoot using Sysinternals tools and analyze Windows performance dataDevelop and maintain technical and operational documentation (designs, runbooks)Support deployment and ongoing maintenance of Windows environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance Key requirementsExpert with Microsoft server operating systems (Windows 2008 R2, 2012)Expertise with Windows infrastructure technologies (AD, DFS, Clustering)Experience using Sysinternals tools for troubleshootingExperience analyzing Windows performance dataScripting proficiency in PowerShell, Perl or PythonAbility to write technical and operational documentation (designs and runbooks)Excellent written and verbal communicationAbility to document complex technical topics clearlyStrong collaboration across teamsWindows deployment tools (Dynamic Ops, Windows Deployment Services)Monitoring tools (SCOM)Virtualization technologies (ESX, XenDesktop)
