DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Junior Video Analyst supports the club’s Soccer Operations by assisting in video analysis, player evaluation, and reporting processes. This role focuses on analyzing MLS 2 & Academy players through video and data, identifying key performance trends, and contributing to reports used by the Sporting Director and Technical Staff.This is an entry-level position designed for candidates looking to develop within a professional soccer environment, offering exposure to player evaluation, tactical analysis, and decision-making processes at the club level.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesUtilizing analysis software to tag match and training videos (e.g., Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, Nacsport)Support the evaluation of MLS 2 & Academy players by identifying key actions, patterns, and trendsCompile video clips and summaries to support player reports and presentationsContribute to pre-match and post-match analysis, focusing on individual and positional performanceHelp maintain and organize the club’s video database and reporting systemsAssist in benchmarking current players against league and positional standardsCollaborate with senior coaching staff and performance personnel on ongoing projectsSupport the creation of standardized templates for player evaluation and reportingEnsure timely delivery of video and reporting materials to technical staff and leadershipAll other duties as assignedRequirementsQualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree (or working toward) in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, Data Analytics, or related field1+ years of experience in soccer analysis, scouting, or performance environments (club, college, or academy level)Basic understanding of soccer tactics, formations, and positional rolesFamiliarity with video analysis tools (e.g., Hudl, Wyscout, Nacsport) is preferredStrong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environmentGood organizational and time management skillsAbility to communicate clearly in written and visual formatsBilingual (English/Spanish) is a mustMust be available to work evenings, weekends and some holidaysPreferred QualificationsExperience playing or working within a competitive soccer environmentExposure to basic performance data and analytics concepts (e.g., xG, passing networks)Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or similar tools
