Admissions Marketing Content Specialist
Please note that references provided at the time of application for staff positions will not be contacted until the applicant has been offered the position.DescriptionThe Admissions Marketing Content Specialist works closely with the Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications to fulfill the varying marketing content needs to support prospective student recruitment goals and strategic student recruitment communication plans. The Specialist will utilize the entire on-campus community to gather creative, relevant, authentic and distinguishing content like student, alumni, and faculty stories for inclusion into enrollment marketing projects. The Specialist will support and assist with the development, graphic design and creation of the content to be shared via video, pictures, web, and written word within tight deadlines. The Specialist will collaborate with a wide range of campus constituencies, including the College’s Office of Marketing & Communications. The specialist will also supervise student labor positions.Examples of Duties Schedule, collect and organize student, alumni, faculty and staff stories. Collect and create content as needed for special enrollment marketing projects. Assist with the graphic design of marketing materials for prospective students, parents and school/community personnel.Assist with the development and maintenance of Admissions web content. Identify collect and catalog photography and videography that supports enrollment marketing projects. Support the creation, organization and management of videos for the Admissions YouTube channel. Support the expansion and development of strategic communication plans. Attend meetings as appropriate in the Office of Marketing & Communications and with other key campus constituents. In support of Berea College’s great commitments this position requires student supervision. Special Skills, Knowledge And AbilitiesExcellent written/verbal communication skills, as well as creative vision that appeals to the prospective student audience. Proficiency with tools like Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat), video editing/YouTube, social media channels, photography, videography, and web design. Ability to respond quickly to the demands of the recruitment cycle and to prioritize projects appropriately.
