Elementary Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a supportive, caring, and driven Early Childhood Special Education Teacher who is ready to set high expectations for students in 2024-2025 school year.

You will have the opportunity to:
· Build a routine within each of your regularly scheduled high school subject area classes
· Create an engaging classroom environment that is conducive to learning, encourages student interest, and maintains standards of behavior
· Tailor a program of study to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of your students, using District-approved curriculum and special education teaching methods
· Integrate modern resources into lesson design through Google Classroom and a one-to-one student technology ratio, to create engaging learning experiences
· Determine goals, directions, and objectives, and prepare IEP goals and IEPC forms
· Conduct observations and assessments, and monitor student growth across all classes
· Guide learning by establishing objectives for lessons, units, and projects, and adjust instruction accordingly to maximize student learning
· Collaborate with colleagues in focused learning teams, coordinate with fellow teachers to support student needs
· Maintain accurate and complete records of progress as required by law and district policy
· Communicate regularly with students and parents
Have a clear understanding of Social-emotional learning
A qualified candidate will possess:
· A Bachelor’s degree
· Michigan teaching certification with endorsements in relevant subject areas:
o Special Education Preferred EI or CI endorsements
