Materials Planner/Coordinator I

Description: Resource Request: GEGOPA00123818 Title – Materials Planner Number of Leased Workers needed – 1 Job description (feel free to attach) – See below Tentative start date – ASAP Tentative end date – 18 months from start date Work shift (days/times) – 1st shift 7AM to 3:30 PM Work Location – 1915 Benchmark Street Amarillo Texas 79108 Bill rate – $34.96/hour Markup NTE - 40% Required skill set – Material Planning, Production Scheduling, Line of Balance (LOB), Microsoft Office efficient Travel Required (% of travel) – 0% Is this a temp to perm position – Maybe Role Summary/Purpose As a Material Planner, you will drive on-time delivery of materials. The position also takes ownership of Material Inventory levels, and interfaces with a cross functional team, including commercial, engineering, sourcing, logistics, and manufacturing operations. Essential Responsibilities: Monitor supply and demand misalignment, and collaborate with manufacturing sources to implement corrective action plans Release material plan requirements to manufacturing sources Identify and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements Execute planning and scheduling activities for assigned part numbers using Oracle ERP planning system C Coordinate with Master Scheduler to establish demand in Oracle ERP for upcoming projects and then coordinate plan for Shop Order Releases based on interaction with Operations and Materials Team Be responsible for maintaining comprehensive tracking program that consolidates New Product Introduction management, cut-in planning and BOM releases to optimize configuration Be responsible for inventory management for assigned parts and processes required to ensure material input to support customer requirements while financial inventory objectives are accomplished Coordinate planning and scheduling activities for assigned commodity utilizing advanced planning tools to model, simulate, and release optimized material plans to the organization Apply appropriate optimization methodologies to balance service level, inventory, and resource utilization using advanced planning tools Qualifications/Requirements High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 2 years of experience in Manufacturing, Sourcing, Materials or related discipline Desired Characteristics Strong negotiation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively operate cross-functionally and interface across all levels of the organization Ability to manage priorities and achieve results Strong Project Management, oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Job Type: Contract Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: Amarillo, TX 79108: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred) Procurement: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
