Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionSol-Up is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial & Residential Electrician to join our team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, including solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, across residential and commercial projects.The position involves working on rooftops, ground-mounted systems, remodeling projects, and new construction environments. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical background, experience with electrical installations, and a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and renewable energy solutions. All work must be performed efficiently and in compliance with company standards, industry best practices, and local electrical codes.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment in residential and commercial propertiesPerform electrical work for new construction and remodeling projects, including system upgrades and modificationsCollaborate with construction teams to provide accurate electrical construction estimates and support project schedulesRead and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine electrical system layoutsTroubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective, code-compliant solutions.Install and maintain lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, panels, and other electrical devices. Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codesMaintain compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe work environment at all job sitesParticipate in field work activities, including utilizing hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment as neededCoordinate with project managers, inspectors, customers, and other tradesPerform inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systemsMaintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and service reportsTravel to various job sites as requiredFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and jobsite requirementsEnsure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codesPerform other tasks and duties as assigned on a day-to-day basisRequirements4+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial electrical workStrong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practicesAbility to work independently or as part of a teamStrong problem-solving, organization, and time-management skillsReliable transportation and the ability to travelLicense & CertificationsValid Electrician license (Journeyman or higher) preferred but not requiredOSHA 10 certification (minimum requirement)Scissor Lift and Boom Lift certification (or ability to obtain)Preferred Skills (Nice To Have)Solar, EV charger, or energy-efficiency experienceExperience working in occupied homes or active commercial environmentsBilingual (English/Spanish)Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periodsComfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsSchedule & Work EnvironmentFull-timeTravel requiredOver time, on-call work, or weekend availability may be required based on project needsBenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experience + bonusHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time off (PTO) and paid holidaysCompany-provided tools and safety equipmentOngoing training and certification opportunitiesOpportunities for career growth and advancementSalary Description$30 - $40/hour depending on experience + bonus
