QA Engineer (Mobile Devices)

Overview In this role you drive the testing strategy for a wearable platform and its APIs, partnering with product and development teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. You will craft and execute tests across Android and iOS devices, implement test automation, and help triage issues across device, application, and cloud layers. You’ll work with global, cross-functional teams to push quality improvements and expose vulnerabilities early, shaping the platform’s reliability and performance. ResponsibilitiesDevelop testing strategy for wearable platform SDK, public APIs, and reference appsDesign and execute test cases to optimize quality, performance, and scalabilityIdentify vulnerabilities through stress testing and edge-case explorationCollaborate with development teams to triage issues and provide solutionsTest wearable software on Android 4.4+ and iOS 7+ devicesCreate and implement automations for mobile test frameworksProvide feedback on platform quality to product teamCollaborate with remote global teams across product, device, cloud, and test disciplines Key requirementsHands-on black- and white-box testing for large-scale mobile platformsExperience validating public APIs and cloud-based performance/scalability testingWorking knowledge of Android and/or iOS platformsStrong triage skills in multi-tier architecture (device, application, cloud)Experience creating, executing, and automating tests for Android and iOS native appsWorking knowledge of build/release management, CI (Jenkins), defect tracking (JIRA), debugging tools, test automationUnderstanding of core OOD principles, concurrency, multi-threading, defensive programmingBachelor in Computer Science or related major, or equivalent experienceStrong problem solving and multi-priority juggling abilitiesKnowledge of Android Frameworks/SDKExperience with iOS (Swift, Objective-C, C#) and Apple ecosystemKnowledge of relational databases and SQLite/Core DataAbility to parse XML, JSON, and serialized dataExperience with Bluetooth LE protocolproblem solvingtenacity and initiativecross-functional collaborationAndroid and iOS mobile platform testingtest automation frameworksJenkins CI
