Senior Network Engineer

Job DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking a Senior Network Engineer (L3) to join a high-performing infrastructure team supporting a complex enterprise environment in Milwaukee. This is a hands-on, onsite role ideal for a seasoned engineer who thrives in troubleshooting, optimization, and real-time network operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of the organization’s core network infrastructure while partnering across technical teams to deliver reliable, business-critical connectivity.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise-grade routers and switchesProvide L3 escalation support for network incidents, outages, and performance issuesExecute network changes, upgrades, and migrations in alignment with change control processesMonitor network performance and proactively identify optimization opportunitiesSupport and troubleshoot:Routing protocols (BGP)VLANs, STP, QoS, and trunkingCollaborate with security, server, and application teams to resolve cross-functional issuesMaintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams and configurationsDeliver hands-on onsite support including:Hardware replacementsCabling and connectivity troubleshootingPhysical infrastructure supportRequired QualificationsStrong experience with Cisco (or equivalent enterprise networking platforms)Deep expertise in Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking conceptsProven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues independentlyExperience supporting production enterprise environmentsFamiliarity with ITIL frameworks and structured change management processesWhat Makes This Opportunity Stand OutHigh-impact role supporting mission-critical enterprise infrastructureStrong mix of hands-on engineering + advanced troubleshootingOpportunity to work alongside cross-functional IT and infrastructure teamsStable contract engagement in a well-established environment
