The intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and general finance functions within the agricultural industry. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge and develop practical skills in a dynamic business environment.ResponsibilitiesAssist with day-to-day accounting tasks such as data entry, invoice processing, and maintaining accurate financial recordsHelp prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for internal and external stakeholdersSupport the preparation and analysis of budget forecasts and financial planningAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of paymentsHelp with reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany transactionsAssist in the preparation of tax filings, including sales tax and other regulatory compliance tasksAnalyze financial data and create reports for management, helping identify trends and opportunitiesSupport the preparation of audit materials and assist with audit processesProvide general administrative support to the finance team, such as organizing documentation and assisting with project coordinationCollaborate with team members on various ad hoc projects to improve financial processes and reporting systemsQualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related fieldStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial analysisProficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plusStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with large sets of dataExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to handle sensitive financial data with discretion and professionalismStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesA proactive attitude and eagerness to learn about finance and accounting operations in a corporate environmentPrevious experience or coursework in accounting or finance is a plus but not requiredBenefitsHands-on experience in accounting and financial operations Exposure to the agricultural industry and understanding of financial processes in a global companyOpportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and gain industry insightsNetworking opportunities with industry professionals and potential career development within Sipcam Agro USA
