Education and Certification Requirements An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field. Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred. Required Certifications Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification or equivalent. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred.
