Part Time Sales Associate

Goal/Mission: Provide excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience to every Adam & Eve customer, making sales a number one priority to achieve sales goals. Sales and Customer Service · On the sales floor at all times, unless ringing a sale or gift wrapping. · Cheerfully greet each customer as they arrive and thank each customer for visiting upon their departure. · Have complete knowledge of the store’s merchandise and keep abreast of new items received. · Work to satisfy and sell all customers on an individual basis using product knowledge to make suggestions and answer any questions the customer may have. · Aware of daily / monthly sales goals and understand the importance of achieving these goals. Merchandise · Restock merchandise as it is sold, as needed and as new orders come in. · Straighten merchandise after every customer and as indicated on the daily checklist or as directed. · Price, tape and/or alarm incoming stock when directed by management. · Change displays or merchandise arrangements as directed by management. Point-of Sale Responsibilities · Know all register procedures (sales with cash / credit / debit / gift cards, discounts, exchanges, opening / closing drawer memos) · Know how to load receipt paper, as well as where the back stock is located. Housekeeping Duties · Dusts and cleans as indicated on the daily checklist as well as any other cleaning duties assigned. · Nightly closing cleaning duties as listed on the daily checklist. Loss Prevention · Scan every customer’s ID as they enter the store. Customers with no ID’s must leave the store. · Closely monitor every customer with excellent customer service to prevent theft. · Ensure all customers leave all backpacks, bags, large purses at the register to prevent theft. · Lock the door after dark for the safety of employees as well as customers. General · Complete Inventory Sheet as assigned by management. · Perform all reasonable job requests assigned by management. · Attend all store meetings. · Aware of the location for all needed supplies (bags, boxes, cleaning supplies, etc.) · Understand that, due to the nature of the retail business, vacations will not be granted Thanksgiving through Christmas and the first two weeks of February. All staff and Non vaccinated customers must wear a mask while in the store per the Governor's mandate.
