Financial Specialist
Position SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Financial Program Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inmate monetary account balances, process PIOC payroll, prepare institution checks, coordinate distribution of general fund and institution checks; verify inmate accounts regarding withholdings, process electronic payments, utilize computer systems to enter deposit and journal voucher information, process canteen and account statements, maintain records, and prepare reports.In addition, this position is the primary backup for inmate savings accounts, releases and inmate transfers from the institution and Tax Refund Intercept Program (TRIP). This position will provide intermittent backup for other business office positions as needed.Salary InformationThis position is in pay schedule/range 02-11 with a starting pay rate of $22.31/hour, plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the Compensations Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes.
