A problem the entire industry hasn't cracked.The problem you'd be working onGNSS is being jammed and spoofed at scale, and there's no silver bullet to replace it. No single technology matches what satellite navigation provides, so the answer has to be blended:Hardened GNSSInertialLEO satellite aidingand whatever you prove out nextIn this role, you'd own one of those development paths end to end. Research it, build it in MATLAB, test it against GNSS simulators and real-world data coming back from fielded units, and drive it into customers' hands.Beta units with LEO satellite navigation aiding are shipping right now, so your work hits the field in months, not years. Even the most research-heavy projects here are 2 years MAX from a customer.You'd join a team of 6 under the CTO. It's a senior role which exists because these paths need to move forward without the CTO reviewing every result. You be given an objective, and the autonomy to run with it.What you'll need3 things:A master's or PhD covering dynamics, control, and estimation (Kalman filtering is the heart of the work.>10 years developing navigation algorithms from scratch, not tuning someone else'sEnough programming fluency to work in MATLAB, even if you'd need to pick it upIf you've also got a hacker instinct (the ability to wire a simulator, a software package, and a piece of hardware into a test environment nobody's built before) then you're exactly who this team can't find enough of.What else you need to knowThis is an on-site role in Dallas, with flexibility for a day or two from home each week.
