Billing Operations AnalystLocation: Chattanooga, TN Job Type: 6-Month Contract Pay Rate: $35-$45/Hour OverviewA client of Insight Global is seeking a Billing Operations Analyst to support billing accuracy and operational efficiency across multiple systems. This individual will analyze large billing datasets, work through high volumes of billing‑related IT tickets, and partner cross‑functionally to identify discrepancies, validate data, and improve processes.This role is ideal for someone who is highly analytical, Excel‑driven, and comfortable operating in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments.Day‑to‑Day ResponsibilitiesAnalyze large billing datasets (30,000+ records) to identify errors, trends, and inconsistenciesValidate billing data and system outputs across multiple sources to ensure accuracyWork through a high volume of billing‑related IT tickets, prioritizing and summarizing issuesInvestigate billing discrepancies and perform root‑cause analysisTest and validate billing logic and system functionality (no coding required)Partner with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to resolve issues and align on processesSupport billing‑related projects and process improvement initiativesDocument findings, resolutions, and updated workflowsRequired Qualifications3–5+ years of experience in billing operations, data analysis, or financial operationsExperience working with large, high‑volume datasetsAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, filtering, data validation)Experience working with IT ticketing systems (Jira or similar)Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skillsAbility to communicate clearly with cross‑functional stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsBackground working with billing or financial dataExperience with CRM or billing platforms (Salesforce, Zuora, or similar)Exposure to basic SQL or backend data validationExperience supporting system implementations or post‑implementation issue resolutionProject coordination or process improvement experience
