CNC Machinist
Job Description
Classic Turning Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to support our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for operating CNC machines, producing parts to print, maintaining quality standards, and accurately documenting production data. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, quality-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced machining environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesLoad, teach, and manage CNC toolingSet and adjust tooling offsets as requiredEdit and verify tool numbers within CNC programsUnderstand and work with machine turret tool locationsMachine parts according to engineering prints and specificationsFollow job travelers accurately and consistentlyEnter all required production data into the ERP system, including good and scrap quantitiesInspect parts using provided gaging and visual inspection methods per work instructions and inspection plansAccurately record inspection results in the data collection/inspection systemDeburr parts to meet quality standardsFollow daily production priorities as communicated via the whiteboardGeneral ResponsibilitiesComplete all required administrative tasksMaintain a strong focus on safety for yourself and others at all timesActively work to reduce non-conforming product and scrapFollow all company policies and proceduresPerform additional duties as assignedProactively participate in continuous improvement initiativesQualifications and RequirementsAbility to read, write, and perform basic mathAbility to read and interpret blueprintsUnderstanding of gaging and inspection methodologiesAbility to meet the following performance metrics:Run efficiency rate of 85% or higherSetup efficiency rate of 75% or higherScrap rate of 3% or lowerCompany DescriptionGreat Lakes Metal FinishingCompany DescriptionGreat Lakes Metal Finishing
