This position offers lots of opportunity for growth within the company and a great benefits package.Responsibilities of the Entry-Level Rating Specialist - InsuranceReview new business and renewal applicationsReview requests for policy changesVerify all pertinent information to produce accurate quotes, policies, and endorsementsResearch and obtain missing rating information by utilizing all resources providedPerform calculations to produce accurate and timely quotes and premium charges by using carrier rating systems and other rating sources provided by companyCreate and maintain rating manualsReview and implement carrier bulletins and release notesPerform additional tasks as assignedQualifications of the Entry-Level Rating Specialist - InsuranceAssociate degree required; bachelor's degree or equivalent preferredHigh attention to detailProficient with MS Excel and WordExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong multitasking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well independently and as part of a teamRating and/or commercial insurance experience, or basic knowledge of property and casualty insurance coverages and rating principals preferredCertificate in General Insurance (AINS – Intro, Ethics, INS21, INS22, INS23) or ability to obtain one within the first year of hire preferredThe Entry-Level Rating Specialist - Insurance works Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm for $50K-$52K/year, DOE.
