This role is crucial in shaping the future of our automotive technology, with a focus on system design & architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality functions that enhance customer experience, making it seamless and smooth.As a Senior Developer, you will provide technical leadership and vision in the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of both existing and new services in a multi-region configuration. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating innovative solutions for our next-generation vehicle systems, particularly in the realm of navigation and multimedia interfaces.This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of automotive technology, combining software development skills with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences in modern vehicles.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop REST application program interfaces (APIs) and WebservicesCreate reusable frameworks/components to support global delivery needsMaintain REST API documentation using Swagger and create design documentationDocument work and engage in quality testing/validation for new features before customer releaseTroubleshoot issues and debug codebases efficientlyWork on AWS cloud platform, including Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)Maintain and improve existing codebases and conduct peer reviews of code changesAdapt to new technologies, tools, and processes as required by the organizationEnsure API layer security, monitoring, analytics, and throttlingCollaborate with leads and team members to meet project deliverables and milestone datesCommunicate effectively with team members and suppliers in a collaborative environmentRequired Experience/SkillsExtensive experience in software development, particularly in REST API and Webservices4+ Years of experience with Go Lang, Java, and Node.JSStrong background in system design and architectureProficiency in AWS cloud platform, especially with EKSExperience with API documentation tools like SwaggerSolid understanding of security principles for API developmentExcellent debugging and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsNice-to-HavesPrior experience in navigation systems for automotive multimediaFamiliarity with implementing and validating platform technical specificationsKnowledge of automotive industry standards and protocolsExperience with connected car technologiesFamiliarity with hybrid or electric vehicle systemsEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldAdvanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is a plusPay & Benefits SummaryCompetitive salary range from $50-62/hr commensurate with experienceComprehensive health insurance package401(k) retirement plan with company matchDrive the future of automotive technology!
