Position Name: OR RN Available Shifts: Days (7a-7p) Nights (7p-7a) About the Facility This is a 585+ bed hospital offering a wide range of medical and healthcare services, including women's services (obstetrics and fertility), emergency care, trauma services, stroke care, orthopedics, and specialized programs such as Chest Pain Center, Breast Care Center, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation, and Primary Stroke Center. The facility is part of a large healthcare network serving the Kansas City area.Job Summary Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for predictable work schedules Collaborative and respectful culture among surgical staff Continuous investment in advanced surgical equipment and technology Leadership rounding to ensure staff feedback and workflow improvements On-call required during select non-business hours Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients prior to surgery Educate patients and families on procedures and perioperative care Prepare patients for surgery, including IV therapy and medications Perform surgical site verification and follow universal safety protocols Monitor patients and respond to emergencies Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices Collaborate with surgeons, providers, and surgical teams Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment in patient care Document patient conditions and care accurately Provide post-procedure education and follow-up guidance Qualifications 1+ year of recent OR RN experience (scrub and/or circulating required) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS certification (within 30 days of hire) RN Diploma or equivalent Additional Information No routine on-call requirement (dedicated call team in place) Reports to: Manager Ideal candidates are experienced in OR settings and thrive in fast-paced environments Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $34 - $48/hour (based on experience) Shift Differential: $4/hour (nights & weekends) Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case Benefits Include: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Employee stock purchase plan Tuition reimbursement and education support Paid time off and family leave Wellness, counseling, and financial support programs Additional benefits including pet insurance, legal assistance, and more Apply Now Email: Contact:
