VP of Cloud Engineering

I'm currently working with a fast-growing open-source AI infrastructure company that is building a next-generation cloud platform used by startups and global enterprises to power modern AI, search, and data-intensive applications. We are looking for a VP of Cloud Engineering to lead the evolution of their managed cloud and enterprise platform. This is a senior leadership role with high ownership, working closely with the executive team in a fast-scaling environment. As VP of Cloud Engineering, you will own the strategy and execution for the company's cloud platform, leading teams across infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, DevOps, and security. The focus is on delivering a secure, scalable, and highly available managed service for enterprise customers. Responsibilities Define and execute the cloud platform roadmap Lead infrastructure, platform, DevOps, and SRE teams Architect scalable, highly available cloud-native systems Oversee Kubernetes environments across AWS / GCP / Azure Establish strong reliability, security, and compliance standards (SOC2, ISO27001, etc.) Drive cost efficiency and FinOps practices Build and scale a high-performing distributed engineering organization Work cross-functionally with Product, Core Engineering, and GTM Requirements 10+ years in engineering leadership Strong background in cloud / platform / infrastructure engineering Experience scaling B2B SaaS or cloud platforms Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure at scale Strong understanding of distributed systems, DevOps, and SRE Experience leading distributed teams Familiarity with enterprise security / compliance frameworks Nice to have open-source, data infrastructure, databases, AI/ML, or search systems Why apply Key leadership role in a high-growth AI / cloud company High ownership and technical impact Remote-first, international team Competitive salary + equity Opportunity to shape a platform used by leading AI companies worldwide J-18808-Ljbffr
