This classification is for the fully qualified professional level Clinical Psychologist and is characterized by the performance of professional diagnostic and psychotherapeutic services which requires special training and licensing. Incumbents of this class work as part of the clinical staff in providing community mental health services and may have supervisory responsibilities.The eligible list created as a result of this recruitment will be used to fill full-time and part-time regular, limited-term or extra-help positions as vacancies occur throughout the County.Position RequirementsEducation and/or Experience:Some experience as a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the treatment of emotionally disturbed and mentally ill clients within a community mental health environment which demonstrates possession of and competency in requisite knowledge and abilities.Licensing, Certification And Registration Requirements Possession of a Clinical Psychologist license issued by the State Board of Medical Quality Assurance is required in accordance with Section 5600 et. seq. of the California Welfare and Institutions Code.Other Requirements Independent travel will be required.
