Boat Shop Technician
Job Description
: Possess an in-depth knowledge of boats and an operational knowledge of propulsion and electrical systems. Able to perform maintenance and repair of small boats to include engine installations, electronics installs and outdrive replacements. Have the ability to trouble shoot and repair vessels within a specific work package. Candidate must demonstrate strong problem –solving skills, be able to work independent and be organized. Able to read drawings and effectively work to NAVSEA standards. Must have knowledge of multiple different driveline configurations and components (inboard / outboard, sterndrives, jet drives and full outboard)Education Requirements: High school degree or equivalentSecurity Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required.
