Residential Building ConstructionServices to Buildings and DwellingsFoundation, Structure, and Building Exterior ContractorsOther Specialty Trade ContractorsNonresidential Building ConstructionOverviewIn this role, you will be responsible for reviewing construction documents, submittals, and installations on a wide range of construction projects for the Building Envelope elements and providing written recommendations for improving or correcting the installations.Your Responsibilities will Include:Review construction drawings and specifications for proper building envelope detailing, ensuring alignment with the RFP, and provide recommendations on materials and installation methods (roofing, windows, curtain wall, air barrier, sealants, etc.)Evaluate building envelope submittals for compliance with the RFP and contract documentsAttend or lead preparatory meetings for building envelope scopes, including preparing agendas and meeting minutesVerify materials and equipment prior to installation to ensure conformity with contract requirements and approved submittalsAssist with procuring third‑party testing agencies for building envelope components (air barrier, windows, storefront, curtain wall, etc.)Coordinate or lead initial and follow‑up enclosure observations with the Quality Coordinator, project management, and design teamsConfirm corrective actions are completed for deficiencies identified during document reviews, submittal reviews, site observations, and testingEducation/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent with 10 years of relevant experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in architecture, engineering, construction management, or other degree related to the AEC professionTo Thrive in This Role, You Will need:5-10 years of experience in Building EnvelopeABAA certification earned or obtainable within one year Construction Quality Management for Contractors earned or obtainable within one year OSHA 30‑Hour training earned or obtainable within one year Skilled in interpreting construction drawings, documents, and technical reports Able to work with client Quality teams to ensure proper testing, observation, and compliance Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Effective at organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through Proficient with laptops, iPads, and mobile devices Capable of accessing and managing project information remotely Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experienced with project management systems and construction technology tools Able to organize and store project photos from cameras, tablets, and mobile devicesJoin our team and be a driving force behind our project success!At Haskell, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and more.
