Laboratory Technician – Level 1 (Quality Control)Job Type: Full-TimeShift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PMJob OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician – Level 1 to join our Quality Control team. This role is responsible for performing dimensional, mechanical, physical, and chemical laboratory testing using established test equipment, specifications, methods, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on lab or manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.This position is ideal for candidates with experience in quality control laboratory testing, ASTM test methods, manufacturing environments, or materials testing who are looking to grow their career in a structured, team-oriented lab setting.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform dimensional, mechanical, physical, and chemical testing in accordance with company procedures, ASTM standards, and other applicable industry specificationsAccurately record, analyze, and maintain laboratory test data, reports, and documentation to support quality and compliance requirementsSupport product acceptance and quality verification activities by ensuring test results meet established specificationsIdentify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials; assist with material review, corrective actions, and preventive actionsParticipate in internal audits, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory and process performanceMaintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment while following all safety proceduresSupport cross-training, teamwork, and additional lab operations as neededRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or chemistry-related coursework is a plus1+ year of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, quality control, or related environmentBasic experience using inspection and measurement tools such as calipers and micrometersFamiliarity with mechanical or chemical testing methodsAbility to read, interpret, and follow work instructions, technical specifications, and safety proceduresStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office for data entry and reportingBasic math, analytical, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with quality systems or ERP systems is a plusPreferred Skills & ExperienceExperience with ASTM test methods, composites, or textile materialsExposure to atomic absorption testing or carbon content determinationBackground in materials testing, quality assurance, or laboratory operationsWork ScheduleMonday through Friday8:00 AM – 4:00 PMWhy Join Us?
