Maintenance Technician

Position SummaryPURPOSE OF POSITION: With minimal supervision, performs maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, physical plant systems and utilities. May also coordinate or direct outside service people and contractors.Ii. Key ResponsibiltiesManufacturing Equipment: Perform maintenance and repairs on any or all of the following:Coil Winding MachinesLaser Marking SystemsEnvironmental Test Equipment – thermal shock, temp-cycling, humidity, vibration, and altitude chambers.Casting Equipment – vacuum encapsulation systems, batch ovens, Class A ovens, autoclaves, varnish dipping tanks, slush pots, resin mixing and dispensing equipment.Conformal Coating Equipment – spraying, dipping, mixing, UV curing equipment.Smoke, Fume Extraction, Dust Collection, Exhaust Systems – central, self-contained HEPA, carbon, etc.Precision Cleaning Systems – solvent vapor degreasers & recovery equipment, aqueous + DI water washersCryogenic Systems, LN2 cooled , and Inert Gas process equipmentProcess Controls – temperature, pressure, level, Programmable Logic Controls.Motors, Motor Controls, Drive Stands for Generator TestingProcess Soldering equipment - solder irons and tinning pots, flow solder, I/R reflow, resistance type.Automated Assembly Equipment – Cut & Clinch, Pick & PlaceMachineTools - cutters, slitters, choppers, wire strippers, arbor presses, notchers, staking machines, saws, disc or belt sander, drill presses, bandsaw, surface grinder, lathe, mill, ID & OD grinders, hones, induction heaters, balancers, shears, hydraulic presses, media blasters.Material Handling Equipment – hoists, bridge crane, gantry, machinery moving, carts, trucks, lifting. Test & Measurement – multi-meters, power supplies, chart recorders, data-loggers, digital and analog gauges for pressure, flow, vacuum, level, temperature, humidity, micrometers, calipers, gauges, leveling.Hand Tools – electric, battery, hydraulic, pneumatic, or manually operated.Welding, Brazing, Soldering - oxy-acetylene torch, MAPP, propane, MIG, TIG, Plasma.Special equipment – forklift, rental vehicles, personnel lifts, respiratory protection and other PPE, ladders.Office equipment – computer, telephone, fax, copier, calculator, purchasing & other administrative work.Physical Plant Systems:Compressors - Rotary screw compressors, compressed air processing and distribution systemsHVAC/R Systems - ducting, centrifugal blowers, dust collection systems, motors, pumps, and controls up to 100 HP, fluid and air filtration systems, fume exhaust systems, cooling tower, cooling water systems, gas fired heating equipment, packaged rooftop equipment up to 80 tons, other refrigeration systems.Electrical Systems & Lighting - 120-208V 3 PH. and 277-480V 3 PH., 400 Hz generators, low voltage systems, energy management, variable frequency drives, programmable logic controls, timers, counters, access controls, alarms, CCTV.Plumbing Systems – process water, restroom & kitchen fixtures, drinking fountains, sewer, storm, irrigation, and domestic water systems Three to five years maintenance and repair experience with variety of manufacturing equipment, including small precision machines that require meticulous care. Coil Winding Machines will be one of the primary responsibilities of this position. Must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license.
