Middle School English and Humanities Teacher

As The International School of Texas (IST) continues to grow, we announce our search for a full-time educator to teach Middle School English (IB Language & Literature) and Humanities (IB Individuals & Societies) beginning in August 2026. This position's primary responsibility will be to teach students in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP). Preference will be given to teachers with experience teaching in an International Baccalaureate School.REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:The successful candidate must have experience teaching middle school. The successful candidate should have a strong belief in progressive education and have experience integrating curriculum with authentic, inquiry-based or project-based learning. This position requires an openness to new technology platforms and their integration into all aspects of the classroom.In addition to teaching responsibilities, IST faculty have the opportunity to lead a variety of extracurricular and club activities that enrich the IST experience. From soccer and art clubs to robotics, coding, and cross-country, IST Trailblazers take their learning outside of the classroom through their participation in clubs and teams that enrich their bodies and minds.IST is an independent, not for profit, secular private school.
