Packer PositionSecond Nature Brands is on a mission to grow from $500M to $1B over the next 4 years through an aggressive combination of M&A and organic growth. We have an opening for a Packer. This position will be based out of our Kar's Nuts Products facility located at 1200 East 14 Mile in Madison Heights, Michigan.As a Packer production team member, you will pack our famous products in various packaging. To be successful, you must have the ability to stay at pace with the line and perform repetitive tasks.Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 7am -3pm, with weekday or weekend overtime as needed. The starting rate is $15.00 per hour.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Pack our famous products in various packagingEnsure code date is properly placed and legibleCheck for any compromises to packagingEnsure each box has the correct number of packagingMaintain clean and safe work areaFollow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policiesPerform any other job-related duties as assignedQualificationsBe 18 years of age or olderHigh school diploma/GEDEnglish language proficientMust have a positive attitudeAbility to work well with peers and supervisorsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and work safely around/with automated and semi-automated machineryPrevious Manufacturing experience (preferred)Physical RequirementsStanding for 8-10 hoursWalking up and down stairsLifting up to 50 lbs frequentlyWorking in slightly elevated temperaturesWearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by companyWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be high and employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment.
