Diesel Technician
Danvers Ford is looking for a Ford Certified Diesel Service Technician to join our team. The role of the Diesel Mechanic is to perform repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty and medium-duty diesel vehicles in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates should be motivated and enthusiastic about learning.Company Benefits:Competitive Compensation: $25-$40 (Based on experience)Health, Medical and Dental401K PlanGrowth opportunitiesEmployee vehicle purchase plansFamily owned and operatedLong term job securityFlexible Work ScheduleDiesel Technician Responsibilities:Provide technical service to vehicles and equipmentRead job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to resolve malfunction, and plan work proceduresFollow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examinedExamine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as neededTest-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothlyTag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerkAttend training classes and keep tabs on factory technical bulletinsDevelop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happinessProperly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by supervisorComplete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published proceduresParticipate in, and utilize to the best of one's abilities, technical training as assigned by managementMaintain your designated workspace in an organized and clean mannerEnsure guest vehicles are returned as clean as they were prior to being servicedShow the utmost courtesy to all guests, visitors, and dealership personnelMake every effort to achieve the production objectives set by managementAdhere to manufacturer's policies and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time, and repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs and torque specificationsAny other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or managementDiesel Technician Qualifications:Ford CertificationPrevious experience in a Ford dealership is a plusAt least 1 year of Fleet or Dealership experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredASE certification preferredCDL certification preferredTeammate with a strong sense of dedication to the customer and service teamSelf-motivated and professionalPossess own toolsAbout Us: At Danvers Ford, we strive to make every customer a customer for life.
