Generac’s Supply Chain Rotational Program provides early career individuals with a 3-year rotational career experience which consists of three, one-year rotations across Generac’s Supply Chain Departments. The program develops emerging talent through comprehensive exposure to multiple supply chain functions within a global manufacturing environment. Program participants rotate through various Generac locations in meaningful supply chain roles varying from planning, procurement, material analysis, transportation, new product introduction, and other critical supply chain positions to build broad-based enriching supply chain acumen. Participants have unique access to networking opportunities, access to top executives, community involvement, and personalized mentorship. Upon successful program completion, individuals build skills and supply chain acumen accelerating career growth in various supply chain professional positions based on years of hands-on emersion across the end-to-end supply chain operation at Generac.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Planning & AnalysisDevelop and maintain production plans, demand forecasts, and inventory optimization strategies across multiple product lines and geographic regionsAnalyze supply chain performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costsCreate and maintain material requirements planning (MRP) systems and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal inventory levels Procurement & Supplier ManagementExecute sourcing strategies for direct and indirect materials, negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationshipsConduct supplier evaluations, audits, and performance assessments to ensure quality, cost, and delivery requirements are metCollaborate with engineering and quality teams to qualify new suppliers and materials while maintaining compliance with corporate standardMaterial Analysis & ControlMonitor material flow, analyze usage patterns, and identify opportunities for standardization and costreductionManage obsolete and excess inventory disposition while implementing controls to prevent future occurrencesCoordinate with finance teams to ensure accurate inventory valuations and cost accounting practicesNew Product Introduction SupportPartner with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure smooth product launches and material availabilityDevelop supply chain strategies for new products including supplier selection, capacity planning, and risk mitigationCreate and maintain bills of materials (BOM) accuracy and coordinate engineering change management processesCross-Functional Collaboration & LeadershipLead cross-functional project teams to implement supply chain improvements and resolve complex operational challengesPresent findings and recommendations to senior leadership and participate in strategic planning initiativesMentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing across the organizationMinimum Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fieldPrevious internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations roles Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologiesPreferred Job RequirementsMBAAPICS CSCP, CPIM, or other relevant supply chain professional certifications0-2 years of relevant experience in supply chain, operations, manufacturing, or related fieldAdvanced proficiency in supply chain planning software (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and data visualization toolsSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certificationExperience with vendor and supplier management Knowledge of trade compliance, logistics, and global sourcing practicesDemonstrated experience leading process improvement initiatives or cross-functional projectsDemonstrated leadership experience and ability to lead a teamKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levelsProficiency in ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with supply chain software applicationsUnderstanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and global supply chain principlesStrong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environmentsMust be able to interface with a multi-shift operation and frequent other locations as necessaryAbility to relocate to another regional Generac location
