Make a Lasting Impression This Summer at Tamarack Day Camp!Tamarack Day Camp is seeking a creative, enthusiastic Ceramics Specialist to lead our ceramics program and inspire campers through hands-on art experiences. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children, enjoys teaching artistic skills, and wants to be part of a warm, energetic camp community.Position OverviewThe Ceramics Specialist is responsible for planning and leading engaging ceramics lessons for campers ages 3–15. You will introduce campers to clay techniques, glazing, and creative expression in a safe, fun, and age-appropriate environment. This is a highly interactive role where creativity and leadership go hand in hand.ResponsibilitiesPlan and lead daily ceramics activities tailored to different age groups and skill levelsTeach basic and advanced ceramics techniques including hand-building, sculpting, and glazingEnsure all materials, tools, and equipment are used safely and responsiblyMaintain a clean, organized, and welcoming ceramics areaEncourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression in every camperCollaborate with counselors and supervisors to support a positive camp experienceParticipate in staff meetings, training, and special camp events as neededQualificationsExperience working with clay or ceramics in an educational or recreational setting preferredComfort working with children in a group settingStrong communication, organization, and classroom management skillsCreative, patient, and enthusiastic attitudeAbility to plan lessons and adapt activities for different ages and abilitiesMust be reliable and able to commit to the full camp seasonSchedule & CommitmentCamp runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PMAll 39 days of camp are required for employmentNo weekendsWhy Work at Tamarack?A fun, supportive, and welcoming staff communityOpportunities to grow as a leader and educatorStaff events and team-building activities throughout the summerThe chance to make a meaningful impact while doing something you loveIf you’re passionate about ceramics and want to spend your summer inspiring creativity, we’d love to meet you!Apply today at: tamarackdaycamp.com/staff/
