Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC OB/GYN Hospitalist to join our dynamic team in Davis, CA.

One physician and one Certified Nurse Midwife who function as an integrated, collaborative team delivering continuous 24/7 coverage.
Partnership with our local tertiary care facility and specialists at Sutter Sacramento hospital – Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians are available for consultation and to receive pre‑term or other designated high risk maternal transfers.

Stable, predictable scheduling with one OBGYN hospitalist on duty every shift.
Level I nursery capable of caring for infants born at 35 weeks gestation and above.
What You’ll Do
Labor & Delivery Leadership Management: Manage births in partnership with Certified Nurse Midwives.
OB/GYN Triage: OB/GYN physician covers all GYN ED phone calls, consults and admissions as well as any emergent GYN surgeries.
Surgical & Procedural Care: Perform GYN procedures and GYN surgeries as needed, ensuring smooth and timely inpatient care.

Full‑time equivalence: 6.5 twenty‑four hour shifts = 1.0 FTE
Compensation: 1.0 FTE = $429,000
Additional productivity bonus
$20,000 Sign on bonus
Relocation assistance up to $20,000
