The school technology coordinator oversees the planning, implementation, and support of technology systems to enhance teaching, learning and school operations. This role manages hardware, software, and network infrastructure; provides technical support to the staff and students; and ensures the effective integration of instructional technology into the curriculum. Duties and Responsibilities: -Maintains software site licenses and supervises proper legal and software usage- Understands and prepares bid requests, evaluates proposals, and oversees vendorcontracts relating to technology-Maintains District software and hardware inventory, including management of e-waste-Supervises and assists with data integration between district data assets; performs dataanalysis and data cleansing-Oversees e-rate application and documentation-Maintains expertise through professional development opportunities, networking, andcoursework-Creates and maintains staff and student users accounts-Manages all laptops, chrome books, and printers for students and district staff-Provides input on technology purchases and negotiates costs on behalf of the district- Helps to maintain district websites-Oversees construction projects and contracts as they apply to technology services-Collaborates with Director of Curriculum for the ongoing professional development ofdistrict staff-Serves as Network Administrator responsible for monitoring, documentation, backup andrestoration, security, virus protection, performance monitoring and user access rights-Maintains effective working relationships with department directors, schooladministration, other district staff, vendors, students, consultants, and others as required-Maintains a high level of confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information-Performs other duties as assigned-Eschool Administrator-Install and maintain network, infrastructure including cabling, fiber optics, etc.Performance Responsibilities and Evaluation Criteria: - Contributing member of the schools technology committee to ensure that technology isintegrated into the instructional program of the school-Develops with faculty and administration the school technology plan in accordance withDistrict and Arkansas Education Technology plans based on curricular needs and theDistrict Plan-Develops, provide, and/or coordinates professional development to staff in the use ofcomputer software/hardware and peripherals and demonstrates practical applications forcurriculum connections-Provides input and/or acts as an advisor on purchases of all hardware and software tothe technology committee and administration accordance with District and ArkansasTechnology Plan-Maintains inventory of computers, printers, peripherals, and software in the school andprovides service for minor repairs to the equipment and the networks-Administrates and supports Mount Ida School network on a day-to-day basis-Acts as the point of contact and disseminates information between Co-Op and DIS unitsand the school staff-Schedule routine technology meetings and participate in professional development tokeep informed of current developments in computer technology and education-Serves as the first point of contact for computer and network related problems in theschoolAny interested applicants should send a cover letter, resume, and job references to the superintendent, Ann Gardner, at ann.gardner@mtidalions.org
