Our work environment includes: Casual work attire Modern office setting Job Summary: The Retail Operations Manager (ROM) reports and works closely with the Store Manager. The ROM is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the retail store(s), ensuring the efficient execution of sales, customer service, inventory management, and overall store performance. This role requires a strategic, results-driven leader with a deep understanding of retail operations, with a focus on optimizing the customer experience, achieving sales goals, and maintaining high operational standards across all areas of the business. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Key responsibilities Store Operations Management Oversee the daily operations of the store(s), ensuring all aspects of retail operations are running smoothly, including product displays, customer service, and staff management. Monitor store performance and KPIs to meet or exceed sales targets, operational goals, and customer satisfaction benchmarks. Ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and conducive to sales, optimizing the layout and visual merchandising of major appliances. Ensure proper handling of cash, credit, and refund transactions in compliance with company policies. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve store operations and drive profitability. Team Leadership and Development Participate in the recruitment, hiring and training of store support staff associates, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform effectively. Partner with the Store Manager in supervising the sales team and support staff and providing clear direction and regular performance feedback. Foster a positive work culture focused on teamwork, professionalism, and customer-centric behavior. Inventory and Merchandising Management Partner with their direct reports to ensure proper placement, labelling, and pricing of appliances and other retail products according to company standards and proper execution of merchandising direction, customer campaigns and sales promotions. Customer Experience and Service Maintain a strong focus on customer service, ensuring all staff members provide a positive and professional customer experience. Handle escalated customer issues or complaints and work towards timely resolutions, ensuring high customer satisfaction and escalate more complex customer service issues to the Store Manager Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide solutions that enhance the overall shopping experience. Sales and Revenue Growth: Monitor daily sales performance and adjust tactics to ensure targets are being met. Achieve retail financial performance goals, such as sales comp, units per transaction and overall customer satisfaction score Prepare and submit regular operational and sales reports to senior management. Health, Safety, and Compliance Ensure the store is following all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and labor laws. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions when necessary. Ensure that staff members are trained in health and safety procedures and that all necessary certifications are up to date. QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is a plus Experience Ideally, at least 3 years of experience in retail management or customer service, preferably in the major appliance, electronics or home goods sector · Basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software. skills & Competencies Leadership: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve high performance; ability to effectively foster collaboration, strengthen team dynamics, and drive collective success. Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management. Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and organizational skills to oversee multiple store operations and projects. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, interpret reports, and use insights to improve store performance. Work environment & Physical requirements Occasional lifting and carrying of materials or products weighing up to 25 pounds (e.g., for product demonstrations, promotional events, or marketing purposes). Work Location: Needed for Multiple Locations Job Type: Full-time Pay: $ 70,000 to $ 75,000 per year with bonus opportunities.
