Join our team as a Senior Director, Business Development – CDMO, where you will play a key role in expanding Tecan’s Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) services.In this role, you will lead high-value business development initiatives, identify and secure new revenue opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative product development and manufacturing solutions.If you are strategic, entrepreneurial, and results-driven, we invite you to bring your expertise to our growing team.How Will You Make an Impact?Lead strategic business development initiatives to drive revenue growth across Tecan’s CDMO portfolioIdentify, develop, and secure high-value opportunities with MedTech, IVD, and Industrial OEM customersBuild and maintain a robust business development pipeline aligned with Tecan’s CDMO strategyDevelop account strategies and consultative engagement plans to win complex contract product development and manufacturing services opportunitiesEstablish and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizationsCollaborate with engineering, operations, and marketing teams to design and propose innovative solutionsCreate and deliver proposals and presentations for contract product development and electronic manufacturing servicesProspect new accounts through networking, industry groups, cold outreach, and professional relationshipsPartner with marketing to develop targeted go-to-market strategies and campaignsParticipate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand visibility and strengthen relationshipsSupport internal sales, marketing, and product strategy discussions to align with growth objectivesWhat You BringDemonstrated “hunter” sales mentality with success in developing new customers and expanding existing accountsProven track record of selling complex contract product development and electronic manufacturing servicesExperience managing long and complex sales cycles, including the development, management, and execution of business development planning, lead generation, pipeline management, account planning, and strategic sales strategyExcellent consultative selling skills and ability to solve customer challengesAbility to communicate effectively with technical and executive audiencesStrong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsExcellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneouslySelf-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven, with a high level of initiativeAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional environmentWillingness to travel approximately 40%Your BackgroundBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)8+ years of experience in business development, services-based sales, or product managementExperience in MedTech, IVD, contract product development, electronic manufacturing services, or consultative selling environmentsKnowledge of the MedTech/IVD ecosystem and OEM partnership models is highly valuedNice to HaveA strategic consultative business development executive who possesses a consistent and demonstrable track record of selling and winning complex contract product development and electronic manufacturing opportunitiesDemonstrable background in developing and closing significant new name clients in his/her/their career, with expertise in contract development and manufacturingBroad industry knowledge within MedTech/IVD and/or Industrial OEM’s with an extensive professional networkFamiliarity with strategic consultative selling, contract product development and electronic manufacturingExperience in establishing budgets, planning, forecasting sales is desired but not requiredWhat We OfferMedical, Dental, and Vision effective on your first day16 company-paid holidays401(k) employer match on first 6% contributions (no vesting period)Company-paid Life InsuranceHSA & HRA optionsCompany-paid short- and long-term disabilityEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Accident, Critical Illness & Hospital Indemnity coverageLegal Shield / Identity ShieldDiscounted Pet InsuranceSalary range: $150,000 – $190,000 + Bonus
