(IBT) Is agroup of caring individuals whose goal is to provide children and theirfamilies with the behavioral therapy services they need to succeed. Weare a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that serves children acrossthe state of Kansas with a focus on rural and low-income areas. IBT ishiring several Behavior Technicians (BTs) in the Kansas City, KS area.BTs work as part of a treatment team to develop and implement behavioralinterventions using an applied behavioral analytic framework. Candidatesmust be enthusiastic, flexible, and have a strong interest in workingwith children with special needs, particularly those on the autismspectrum. Individuals who work directly with clients may fill thefollowing provider roles depending on the client/care plan and theapplicants qualification: Intensive Individualized Support (IIS): IISproviders work one-on-one with the child or adolescent to implementvarious interventions as outlined in the treatment plan, collect data,implement behavioral interventions as outlined on their behavioralintervention plan, and communicate with the treatment team. IISproviders must possess a high school diploma and be eligible to becertified in the Kansas Medical Assistance Program Tutor (RBTcredentialed): Tutors work one-on-one with the child or adolescent toimplement various interventions as outlined in the treatment plan,collect data, implement behavioral interventions as outlined on theirbehavioral intervention plan, and communicate with the treatment team,and must have 40 hours of training in the use of applied behavioranalysis and be working towards a degree upon hire. Tutors must have acurrent RBT credential. This position can help you gain experience withneurotypical individuals working on motor, communication, behavior andself help skills! Responsibilities and Requirements As part of theiremployment, employees must: Act professionally and treat clients withrespect and dignity at all times. Engage in professional developmentactivities as outlined by IBT, including attending training sessions,reading journal articles about behavior analysis, and conductingresearch as part of a clients treatment team. Conduct intervention anddata collection as prescribed by the clients treatment plan, includingmonitoring and accommodating frequent program modifications, as well asaccurately collecting and reporting data. Strictly follow designatedprotocols to foster skills and behavior generalization. Submit tooccasional fidelity and competency checks conducted by consultants orlead teachers during therapy sessions. Stay apprised of the clients IBPand/or PCSP Program and demonstrate competency in all skills listedunder the supervision of the Autism Specialist, Consultant, or CaseManager. Complete weekly communication reports summarizing successes orconcerns with both administrative (e.g. schedule, pay) and therapy tasks(programs, behavior). Employees must also achieve at least 80% accuracyon the initial IBT training within 14 days of employment. Employeesfailing to achieve 80% accuracy will be placed on unpaid administrativeleave until this outcome can be achieved.
