This role owns performance outcomes across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and employee engagement, while building strong leadership bench strength and driving continuous improvement.The Senior Operations Manager partners closely with cross-functional teams including HR, Safety, Maintenance, Engineering, Inventory Control, Transportation, and Customer Experience to deliver a best-in-class member experience while supporting Thrive Market’s mission to make healthy living accessible and affordable.ResponsibilitiesOwn daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance across assigned departments (Inbound, Outbound, Inventory Control, or Multi-Area scope depending on site needs)Lead execution of production plans to meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs), throughput targets, and cost goalsTranslate business objectives into clear operational priorities and execution plans for Operations Managers and frontline leadersEnsure operational readiness during peak periods, promotions, and volume fluctuationsLead, coach, and develop a team of Operations Managers and Area ManagersBuild leadership bench strength through succession planning, talent assessment, and performance managementDrive accountability through clear expectations, regular feedback, and data-driven performance reviewsFoster a culture of inclusion, engagement, and high performance aligned with Thrive Market’s valuesChampion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and best practicesPartner with Safety and HR to investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and reduce riskEnsure safe work methods, ergonomic practices, and associate training are consistently followedLead safety audits, reviews, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure fulfillment accuracy, order quality, and packaging standards meet Thrive Market expectationsPartner with Quality, ICQA, and Customer Experience teams to reduce defects and member complaintsLead root cause analysis for quality issues and drive sustainable corrective actionsDrive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and improve efficiencyAnalyze operational metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvementStandardize best practices and ensure SOP adherence across shifts and departmentsPartner with Engineering and Maintenance on process design, layout optimization, and equipment utilizationOwn departmental labor planning, productivity, and cost controlMonitor and manage key performance indicators including: Safety (incident rates, near misses), Productivity (UPH, labor efficiency), Quality (defects, accuracy), Cost (labor, overtime, shrink), and Engagement (turnover, attendance)Support budget planning and cost-saving initiativesPartner with Inventory Control to ensure inventory accuracy and operational flowCollaborate with Transportation and Logistics on outbound execution and carrier performanceWork closely with HR on workforce planning, engagement initiatives, and corrective action processesAlign with Maintenance and Engineering to ensure equipment uptime and operational scalabilityQualifications7+ years of progressive leadership experience in e-commerce, fulfillment, distribution, or manufacturing operations3+ years leading managers of managers in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentStrong knowledge of warehouse operations, labor planning, and performance managementProven experience driving safety, productivity, and quality improvementsAbility to analyze data, interpret KPIs, and make informed operational decisionsStrong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organizationBachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experienceExperience in high-growth or peak-driven e-commerce environmentsLean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certificationExperience launching new processes, departments, or buildingsFamiliarity with WMS (ideally Highjump)Belong To a Better CompanyComprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and disability)Competitive pay + equity401k matchMultiple work schedules availableOpportunities for advancement.
