Construction Estimator

Job Description As the Estimator you will owns the creation of our project bids and the relationships with the Operations team and our business partners. You will have the opportunity to manage tight deadlines and excels in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have the ability and desire to distinguish themselves by delivering cost-effective and repeatable solutions to our customers' most challenging problemsRequirements -Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business or similar5+ years of estimating and preconstruction bid experience with large projectsAbility to use computer programs: MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam, Procore, Yardi, etc.5 or more years of commercial construction building experienceWhat You'll Do -You will use your high level expertise to help secure work with current and new clients, meeting or exceeding our strategic and financial objectivesYou will be given the autonomy to lead and deliver contract proposal estimates, post-award purchase orders and subcontracts on a broad range of construction projects, with a high level of detail and analysisPrepare and assemble bid proposalsThis includes completing detailed estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and soliciting pricing from qualified vendors and subcontractorsYou will also review proposal specifications and drawings utilizing the Company Bid Information System (BIS)Actively participate in bidding and pre-construction servicesAttend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and required contents for the estimateResearch, negotiate and prepare purchase orders and subcontracts for awarded projects, including obtaining the necessary insurance requirementsParticipate in pre-job meeting with project management personnelBenefits -Medical, Dental, VisionPaid HolidaysBereavement LeavePersonal AdvancementRetirement & 401KProject milestone bonusesAbout UsAt NCW, we do our best to provide the brightest talent to the best companies across the country.
