This immersive experience is designed to provide hands-on exposure to management consulting within the life sciences industry. The internship is structured around three core components: Exposure to the U.S. Workplace – Interns will gain experience working in a professional consulting environment, with an expectation of being in the office four days per week. Client-Focused Project Work – Each intern will be paired with a dedicated mentor and embedded within a project team to contribute to real client engagements. Innovation & Capability Building – Interns will collaborate on initiatives focused on developing new capabilities, exploring emerging verticals, and shaping future service offerings. Throughout the program, interns will work closely with consultants and leaders, building foundational consulting skills in problem solving, analytics, and professional communications. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Support & Analysis Work as part of an active project team, contributing to client forecasting projects alongside senior consultants. Conduct secondary research on therapeutic areas, disease states, treatment paradigms, and competitive landscapes to build the pharmaceutical context around the products in scope. Build and refine Excel-based forecasting models and supporting analytical frameworks. Synthesize research and analysis into clear, structured insights that inform model assumptions and client narratives. Deliverables & Communication Contribute to client-ready PowerPoint presentations, from initial storyboarding through final polish. Translate quantitative analysis into clear, structured narratives that decision-makers can act on. Participate actively in internal team meetings, working sessions, and QC reviews. Collaborate with peers on initiatives to explore new capabilities, verticals, and future offerings.Qualifications Currently pursuing a graduate degree, preferably an MS in an engineering discipline, MBA, business analytics, or a related quantitative field.Relevant coursework or prior exposure to healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and/or consulting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with working familiarity in VBA, Python, and dashboarding tools. Experience using LLM/agentic AI tools is a plus.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights.High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative and self-direction.Self-starter with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.Interns are expected to be physically located at the assigned worksite location (Boston, MA or Arlington, VA) for the duration of the internship, with an expectation of being in the office four days per week.
