Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:The Kossipo Project Manager is fully accountable for delivering and executing a technically robust, economically resilient, development plan for the Kossipo Field in Block CI-40, offshore Côte d’Ivoire. The primary responsibility will be the advancement of a greenfield discovery into production by 2030 by facilitating the planning, engineering and eventual execution of the work. Discovery and appraisal drilling has been undertaken, and work is currently focused on assessing key decisions that will allow finalization of a Field Development Plan. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the project including coordinating all technical and commercial work necessary to achieve FDP approval and proceed forward to a Final Investment Decision.ESSSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Works as Coordinator across multi-discipline Commercial, Legal, Drilling, Facilities, HSSE and Subsurface teams for the establishment of the Field Development Plan including:Integrated subsurface-to-export development planningSelection of optimal development conceptSubsea architecture and drilling strategy definitionContracting strategy and execution modelCost and schedule definitionHost Government and JV partner alignmentRisk management and readiness for sanctionManages all external vendors, engineers and consultants, including selected FEED contractor, to ensure an integrated Project approachInteracts with host government officials, partner technical staff as requiredDevelops and manages a fully integrated Schedule for the Project and holds responsibility for maintaining that Schedule throughout the life of the ProjectDevelops and manages a fully integrated Budget for the Project and holds responsibility for tracking and maintaining that Budget throughout the life of the ProjectRepresents the project to Executive ManagementUses sound understanding of risk analysis of projects with an emphasis on risk reduction and return on investmentFacilities Project meetings and manages all major interfacesPresents updates to Executive staff on a frequent basisResponsible for ensuring the project is sufficiently resourced and full alignment throughout the Project TeamEnsure contract requirements are understood and adhered to and that all required documentation is maintainedAdditional tasks as assigned by business/management.EDUCATION & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline15+ years of offshore oil and gas experience5+ years in deepwater project leadershipHUET and OGUK certifications requiredSKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Experience in PSC environments in Africa preferredPMP Certification preferredStrong technical backgroundProven experience delivering FDP and FEED for subsea or FPSO-based developmentsStrong commercial and contracting acumen including understanding of industry economics, discounted cash flow modeling, costs, profitability analysis, fiscal systems, and financial driversDemonstrated experience managing Joint Venture environmentsStrong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills with focus on technical and cost efficiencyExcellent communication with a heavy emphasis on presentations to the Executive staffAbility to influence, build trust and build alignment across all organization levelsHigh level of self-motivation, organization and adaptability to shifting priorities and challengesMust have a high degree of computer literacyPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to function in a general office environment and accomplish tasks and duties as outlined above.Willingness and ability to travel to Côte d’Ivoire and other work locations, such as fabrication and manufacturing facilities, including offshore locations, as needed.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
