Director of Training and Development

The Director of Training and Development (DTD) plays a critical role with oversight of training, learning and development, as well as employee recognition, coaching, culture, employee wellbeing, and special projects.Essential Functions (Job Duties)Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to all HR employees, and direct oversight for the training team. Establish, implement, and manage a professional development program that enhances quality of service, succession planning, and improves employee retention. Provide consistent, on-site support at all employee training sites, overseeing and delivering in-person and virtual trainings. Implement professional learning opportunities through multiple delivery models including workshops, internal and external programs, seminars, digital platforms, and consistent in-person and virtual employee orientation and annual update trainings. Partner with the AD-HRIS to ensure virtual training platforms are meeting organizational needs while providing an excellent employee experience and data reporting needs. Partner with leaders in operations and shared services to ensure training is up-to-date, relevant, and is being provided to the right people, at the right times and places. Champion and create culture initiatives; represent, model, and coach professional behavior that aligns with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Manage the employee tuition assistance program including employee engagement and budgeting. Oversee the employee longevity and recognition initiatives and related activities and budgets. Oversee the employee drug testing program and related employee engagement, activities, and budget, in partnership with the Employee Relations team. Manage special projects, public relations, and community partnerships at the discretion of the Associate Vice President of People. Employees will be given as much advance notice as possible when such changes occur.Required Education And ExperienceBachelor’s Degree with 10+ years supervisory experience in health care, customer service, or human resources related fields.
