Material Handler 2nd shift

Material Handler - 2nd Shift The expectations for this role are to help flow material and other essential products through the shop in a safe and productive manner. This will include covering for other truckers in the plant including the press area and receiving. Essential ResponsibilitiesMove freight, stock or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, by hand or using trucks or other equipmentUse standard measuring instrumentsUnload trucks at the receiving dock when necessary and perform the related SAP transactionsPerform standard work per the quality work plansGenerate improvement ideas on a weekly basisParticipation in team-based improvement activitiesActive participation in standard work revisionsClean, maintain, and organize assigned areaFrequent heavy liftingPerform Hazardous Waste Management (daily inspection, shipping prep, etc.)*Able to interpret shop blueprintsAble to interpret MOSs and BOMsAble to do shop mathDelivery of material and essential supplies throughout the plantAssisting with die keeping This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions, it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks and/or responsibilities that may be assigned/reassigned at any time. This job description is subject to change at any time Basic QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GEDWilling and able to become fork truck licensedHAZMAT Certification required (must be obtained within 90 days of starting job)* Preferable QualificationsFork Truck Experience Desired CharacteristicsGood safety, attendance, and performance recordWilling and able to become fork truck licensedAble to interpret shop blueprintsAble to interpret MOSs and BOMsAble to do arithmetic and basic shop mathUse standard measuring instrumentsWork with minimum supervisionCommunicate effectivelyWorks well with others Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
