Electrical ApprenticeEssential Duties include the following:
Always comply with company safety policies
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures
Attend IEC instruction and maintain passing grades to enhance your skills
Study and stay updated with current NEC code knowledge
Perform other assigned duties with a proactive attitude
QualificationsQualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
Possess the necessary personal tools for the job. (1st year apprentices supplied with hand tools and protective equipment if necessary)
Maintain schooling requirements to further your career
Be a mechanically inclined self-starter who is eager to learn and grow
Physical Requirements:
Able to work off all types of ladders, lifts and elevated platforms (electric or gas powered)
Able to work at various heights up to 50 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, or other safe work areas
Able to work in restricted areas, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces and attics
Able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
Able to carry tools and materials up to 50 pounds from the ground to overhead
Able to constantly move on feet, climbing ladders and working overhead
Possess good vision (normal or corrected)
Able to get to customer job sites
Work Environment: Able to work in all elements, depending on job locations and time of year
