Land Use Associate

The Miami office of Akerman LLP seeks a Real Estate Associate with 1 to 3 years of experience in land use, zoning, local government and environmental law, to join an active land use practice, working on major development projects throughout South Florida. Candidates should have a strong background and experience in legal research and writing, and a deep understanding of State and local government structure in Florida. The position would work under senior associates and partners to research land use issues, prepare legal memoranda and briefs, prepare covenants and other legal documents, handle select public hearings, and assist on applications for development approvals. The position will require an individual with excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to solve problems independently.
