Biorepository Supervisor

General Summary and Purpose:The NJ Biorepository Supervisor is a core team member of the Operations Department.Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise daily operations of biorepository of Sample Technicians.Coordinate client activities with biorepository personnel (facilities, logistics, sales)Supervise and work directly with client accounts via written, verbal and teleconferencing for incoming samples/out going shipments.Schedule daily, weekly schedules for Sample Technicians.Execute and supervise incoming/outgoing samples, documentation and client updates.Hands on working supervisor position, that requires receiving, shipping, packing of samples and products.Follow GDP & GMP requirements for all records and ensure customer accessibility.Ensure 100% compliant response to all customer service requestsCollaborate with operations team to ensure storage capacity is available to satisfy commitments given to customers by Sales.Ensure staff compliance with all company SOP’s and GMP requirementsMaintain capacity reports and inventory records for all materials stored in conjunction with facilities.Assist Quality Department in conduct of third party auditsImplement policies staff performance (discipline, recruiting, reviews)Collaborate regularly with all operations to ensure harmonization of all proceduresOther Duties (Standard Verbiage. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Reporting Relationships:This position reports to the Chief Operating OfficerJob Requirements:Solid understanding of people management, training, supervising and sample data management.Excellent leadership skills and communication skillsExperience working with customers directlyJob Specifications:BA Degree in a scientific discipline preferred or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience working in biorepository environment and/or GMP pharmaceutical/biological operations5 years of experience leading and mentoring teamsAbility to perform procedural work
