Computer-Aided Designer
Overview
In this role you will support Textron Systems’ Sea Systems with hands-on design work for uncrewed military platforms. You’ll develop and verify electro-mechanical components and maintain engineering data packages aligned with military and company standards. You’ll collaborate with engineers to translate requirements into drawings, 3D models, and BOMs, while gaining exposure to real-world production environments. This internship-style position offers practical skill development within a structured program and cross-functional exposure.

ResponsibilitiesCreate mechanical solid models from sketches and specsRecord and manage tasks in JIRATranslate requirements into vendor control documentationCatalog vendor components and specificationsRelease specifications, drawings and ECNs in eMATRIXInterface with Product and Manufacturing engineers to ensure manufacturabilityParticipate in design review meetingsPerform tolerance stacks for parts/sub-assembliesGenerate production drawings and electrical schematics from sketches/datasheets
