Medical Waste/Sharps Class A Driver (5AM to 3PM) 6362

We are seeking a safety‑focused, customer‑oriented Class A Driver to support our operations across the Grand Junction, CO area. In this role, your primary focus is driving, transporting medical waste and sharps containers to and from healthcare facilities. As part of the role, you’ll also spend approximately 12 hours per week inside hospital environments, physically exchanging containers and supporting clinical teams.This position offers steady hours, independence on your route, access to overtime, and strong benefits, all within an essential, purpose‑driven industry.Learn more about our drivers and team here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mlSva1OTwkWhat will your job involve?DrivingOperate straight trucks and tractor trailers ranging from 26’ to 53’Safely collect, transport, and store medical waste and sharps containersManage assigned routes as directed by leadership, ensuring on‑time, efficient serviceComplete deliveries according to schedule and proactively communicate challenges or changesConduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspectionsComply with all DOT regulations, including hours logging and roadside inspectionsTravel once per week to Denver for trailer exchange (no overnights)Hospital ServicingWork inside hospital facilities exchanging full and empty medical waste and sharps containersPush/pull loaded carts and handle containers through clinical and non‑clinical areasFollow strict infection control, safety, and compliance protocolsInteract professionally with hospital staff in fast‑paced healthcare environmentsMaintain cleanliness, organization, and correct container placementPhysical ActivityLoading and unloading containersPrioritizing and organizing your truck based on route and scheduleHeavy lifting required as part of daily dutiesWhat are we looking for?Valid Class A license WITH hazmat endorsement with a clean driving record and current DOT medical cardMinimum 6 months experience driving tractor trailers and/or straight trucksExperience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspectionsConfidence completing Level 1-3 DOT road checksProven reliability and longevity in past employmentWillingness to work full‑time hours (approximately 45-50 hours per week)Comfortable working inside hospitals and clinical environmentsFlexible, can‑do attitude with a strong customer service mindsetCommitment to safe, on‑time delivery practicesWhy work for us?Job stability - we are an essential, non‑seasonal healthcare serviceOpportunities for overtimeConsistent schedule - Monday-Friday, 1st shift (5AM-3PM)Benefits from day one, including medical, sick leave, and vacationPermanent, full‑time roleCompetitive pay - $33.00 per hour (set, non‑negotiable)Who are we?  We are a healthcare service company providing safety systems and regulated waste collections for hospitals and an array of customers within the healthcare industry.
