Ox & Olive is seeking a polished, organized, and hospitality-driven Maitre D’ to lead the front door experience while supporting the overall flow of service each evening. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-touch hospitality environments, understands the importance of guest recognition, and can balance operational precision with genuine warmth. The Maitre D’ will oversee all reservation management, lead and develop the host team, coordinate private dining inquiries and bookings, and assist management with maintaining the pace and energy of the dining room during service. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the reservation system, including strategic seating and guest notes Lead, train, and manage the host team to ensure a seamless guest arrival experience Coordinate and manage private dining and event inquiries from initial contact through execution Work closely with management to maximize flow, timing, and guest experience during service Maintain clear communication between the host stand, service team, kitchen, and management Build relationships with regular guests and VIP clientele Ensure guest requests, celebrations, and special accommodations are executed thoughtfully Assist with nightly floor management and service support as needed Uphold Ox & Olive’s standards of hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail Qualifications Previous experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or Michelin-level service preferred Strong understanding of reservation platforms and dining room pacing Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to remain composed and solution-oriented in high-volume environments Professional appearance and polished guest presence Experience coordinating private events or group dining preferred Natural leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team More detail about Ox & Olive part of Hive Hospitality, please visit
