In this role, the Principal Product Engineer responsibilities include bench setup, definition or automation of bench testing, debugging and problem solving, data analysis, reporting, project management, team leadership and mentoring / supervising.Duties IncludePrepare and oversee overall project, validation, characterization, qualification, and material control plansValidate and characterize silicon and track project tasks to completionParticipate in new product development teams and track project progressPrepare bench setups for silicon validationAnalyze and report dataPrepare validation and characterization reportsEnsure devices are manufacturable and that devices are set up in the production system correctlyDebug problems in an organized and efficient mannerMentor or supervise Junior EngineersAnalyze margin data and complete cost reduction activitiesWork on systems to improve the efficiency of product development and manufacturingRequirements/QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:BSEE and 10+ years of previous experience in related fieldProficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, EmailAbility to lead teams and develop project plansFamiliarity with multiple programming languagesPossess excellent communication and presentation skillsPreferred QualificationsProgramming in LabVIEW, C++, MATLAB and Visual BasicExperience with RF Products (MHz/GHz), Modules, Discrete Products, Power Devices, Silicon Carbide, High voltage (600V to 3.3kV) or Semiconductor ManufacturingFamiliarity with automotive industry requirementsFamiliarity with automated test equipmentUnderstands and comply with QS9000 / TS16949Percentage of Shift and Longest Time8 Hour Day, 8AM – 5PM30% Office Time, 60% Laboratory Time, 10% Travel25% Standing, 4% Walking, 70% Sitting, 1% Driving10% Outside, 90% InsideEssential Physical Functions, Maximum LBS And Working ConditionsHandling, Hearing, Talking, Seeing, Noise and/or Vibration, Electrical Hazards, Works Alone, Works Around OtherThis is classified as a safety sensitive position.
