Project Manager / Estimator - HVACPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator focused on HVAC and mechanical construction to lead project estimating, planning, and execution for commercial and industrial HVAC projects. The role combines technical estimating, cost control, and field project management to deliver safe, on-time, and profitable projects while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for HVAC and mechanical projects, including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricingDevelop bids and proposals, review contract documents, and identify scope, exclusions, and risksCreate and maintain project schedules, manage budgets, and monitor job progress to ensure on-time, on-budget deliveryCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams during preconstruction and construction phasesConduct site visits, surveys, and constructability reviews to validate estimates and identify potential issuesManage change orders, RFIs, and document revisions; negotiate scope and pricing adjustments with clients and subcontractorsOversee quality control and safety compliance in accordance with company and regulatory standardsPrepare regular project reports for stakeholders, including cost forecasts, cash flow, and progress updatesMentor and collaborate with junior estimators and project staff to improve estimating accuracy and project deliveryQualifications5+ years of combined experience in mechanical construction, HVAC estimating, and project management (or equivalent)Demonstrated expertise in mechanical systems and construction processes (required)Proven experience preparing estimates and managing commercial HVAC (wetside) or mechanical projectsProficiency with estimating software (e.g., Trimble/WinEst/Stack/ProEst) and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and construction documentationExcellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills to coordinate with clients, engineers, and tradesAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specificationsValid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as requiredSafety training/certifications such as OSHA 10/30 or equivalent preferredNice to have: hands-on experience with piping and pipefitting, prior work on commercial HVAC projects, and familiarity with HVAC equipment selection and installationBenefitsBenefits: Health (100% employee coverage, 50% family), dental, vision, pension (company-funded).Perks: Car allowance, gas card.Relocation Package: Airfare, moving expenses, and temporary housing provided.Paid Time Off
