1.0 FTE - Comprehensive Special Education, K-12 (165) OR Remedial Reading (102)Candidates must possess the following qualifications:Qualified candidates will hold CT certification in Comprehensive Special Education K-12 (165) OR Remedial Reading (102) and will have excellent teaming, collaboration, and communications skills.Orton Gillingham and/or Wilson Reading certification, preferred.Experience and knowledge regarding differentiated instruction and inclusive educational practicesKnowledge of IDEA and the PPT processKnowledge and experience in instruction of reading using a variety of specialized programsPlan and implement appropriate and effective lesson plans, using materials that engage all the sensesDevelop and evaluate measurable goals and objectivesEvaluate students as needed using standards based and curriculum based measuresCollaborate with regular and Special Services staff and administratorsEstablish and maintain frequent communication with parents of students on caseloadSalary per OEA Collective Bargaining AgreementOEA Labor Agreement
